Great Mattress, January 6, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Safety 1st Transitions Baby and Toddler Mattress, White (Baby Product) This mattress has been great so far. We've only had baby home for a week and he sleeps really well on it. I love that it fits perfectly into our crib (Delta Eclipse) and that it has both an infant and toddler side to it.

When I received the mattress I was shocked at how firm it was. In fact firm is to generous of a word...this mattress is so hard you can bounce quarters off of it. I understand that a mattresses should be firm for infants but I have 2 other mattress in my home for my other children that have worked great and none are this firm. When I opened the box the plastic covering the mattress was already opened at the top. The inside is made solely of 3 thick layers of a polyester fiber padding, (almost like the scrubber part of a dish sponge) there is no padding, foam or springs for cushioning. My two year old ran up and jumped on it and actually bit her tongue because she didn't expect it to be so hard, she hit it and bounced off like a rag doll. Sent the mattress back the same day. I gave it one star because it was shipped and delivered within 3 days. Amazon had UPS pick it up and refunded my account within 3 more days. So I am... Read more
